Does Clocktower recommend heartworm preventative for dogs and cats?

Clocktower follows the recommendations of the American Heartworm Society and recommends all dogs and cats be placed on monthly heartworm preventative medication. These medications are available in both oral and topical forms. Please discuss with our doctors the medication that may be most convenient for your pet. Descriptive brochures are available from our receptionists or doctor's assistants.

Annual blood testing for heartworms is recommended for dogs.

For cats there is not a reliable blood test at this time.
