Mary - Office Manager

Mary has been with Clocktower Animal Hospital for more that 22 years. She earned her B.S. degree from James Madison University in 1978. After serving four years active duty as an officer in the US Army she returned to Loudon County, VA. Mary managed the family floral business for 20 years and taught dog obedience for over 40 years. In her free time, Mary enjoys time with her furry family members as well as reading and gardening.


Ann - Hospital Administrator

As our Hospital Administrator, Ann Sprys lives to make everyone’s life easier by bringing the true meaning of servant leadership to the Clocktower Animal Hospital team. Ann leads with passion and uses her 25+ years of experience in the veterinary profession to preserve the compassionate family environment, personalized client service and premier veterinary medicine that our successful hospital was founded upon many years ago. Ann enjoys all pets, but she especially loves when American Eskimo dogs come to visit. Her hobbies include reading, flying, Nascar , and doing crafts.


Jenn - LVT and Team Lead

Jenn is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and Team Lead at Clocktower. She earned her bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. After graduation, Jenn worked for a national commercial real estate mortgage brokerage firm in Chicago and Washington, D.C. as an administrative assistant before advancing to a financial analyst. Jenn left the finance industry after two and half years to start a family and later pursued her passion to work with animals. In 2013, she graduated from Northern Virginia Community College earning her degree in Veterinary Technology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and two dogs.

Licensed Veterinary Technicians


Jessica - LVT

Jessica has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Clock tower for over 10 years and has always had a passion for caring for all types of animals.She earned her Veterinary Technology degree from Northern Virginia Community College as well as earning her B.S.in Biology in 2003 and her M.S. in Biology Science in 2007 from Christopher Newport. In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling, painting, reading, and spending time with her 5 dogs and 4 geckos.


Joe - LVT

Joe attended George Mason University and received his B.S. in Biology in 2007. Later, he went on to get his degree in Veterinary Technology at NOVA College in 2013. He started working as a veterinary assistant in the summer of 2000 after his junior year at Fairfax High School. Joe has been at Clocktower for over 15 years and has worked at several different hospitals and specialty practices throughout his career but has always called Clocktower his home. He grew up with cats, dogs, and fish all of his life and enjoys spending time with his sweet Border Collie, Mable, who you just might see around the hospital.


Paula - LVT

Paula received her degree from NOVA in 1986 as well as Associates in Business Management in 1987. She went on to Morehead State University in 1990 and graduated with BS Major in Veterinary Technology and a minor in Business Administration. Paula has been in the veterinary profession for over 38 years. She loves animals and grew up on a big farm in Aldie, VA with horses, cattle, dogs, cats, and many pocket pets. In her free time she loves to play tennis, golf , and many other fun outdoor activities.


Kelly M. - LVT


Alix - LVT

Alix received her degree in Veterinary Technology from Cedar Valley College. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2002 and has experience working in a variety of small animal specialties including emergency, ophthalmology, and oncology. She particularly loves working with senior pets and enjoys providing them with the care and comfort they need during their golden years. In her free time, Alix does volunteer veterinary work with horses, various animal rescues and has even volunteered with the Smithsonian National Zoo. She shares her home with her husband, son, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, and her pet rat.

Veterinary Assistants



Rachel has been a veterinary assistant at Clocktower Animal Hospital for over 10 years and worked at a veterinary ER for a short period prior to joining the Clocktower team. Her love of veterinary medicine began at the young age of 16 and continues to show in her dedication and hard work at the hospital. She likes to sing, build puzzles and Legos, spend time with her furry kids and it quite the “foodie”.


Kelly F.

Kelly is part of our Veterinary Assistant team and has been working in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She has a great love for animals and embraces caring for them as her forever job. In her free time, Kelly enjoys being by the water, spending time with her family and keeping busy with her furry four-legged friends.



Jennifer joined Clocktower in 2017 as a experienced Veterinary Assistant after relocating from sunny Florida to NOVA. She is a champion for our therapeutic laser program and brings a wealth of knowledge to our team.



Caitlin is part of the Veterinary Assistant team at Clocktower Animal Hospital. She brings a warm smile, excellent patient care and client service to our hospital.



Sophia is an aspiring LVT student who currently brings this passion to work everyday as a Veterinary Assistant at Clocktower Animal Hospital. She enjoys learning new things every day alongside her team mates at the hospital. Sophia enjoys traveling and hiking outdoors and has traveled to over 15 countries and hiked over 300 miles in Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains. Her professional interests include nutrition and wildlife rehabilitation.



Kimberly joined the Clocktower team in 2013 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2016 with Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. A year after graduating she went on to do research with Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute working with cheetahs studying non-invasive pregnancy detection techniques. Kimberly was born and raised in Northern Virginia and has the cutest four legged sister, a Golden Retriever named Harley.



Virginia is part of our Veterinary Assistant team with a very diverse and experienced background in the veterinary medicine profession. She can be seen helping our CSR team on many occasions and offering new, innovative ideas on how to provide the best care for our clients and patients alike. Virginia is studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the near future.



Shannon joined our team in Spring 2018 after many years of being a valued client at Clocktower with her own family of pets. She finds much joy working at the hospital as she has had a great passion and love for animals since childhood. Shannon has had many animals of her own as well as fostering animals with her mom. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with , boyfriend, family, hiking, going to music festivals and the gym.

Client Service Specialists


Jessica R. - Team Lead

Jessica is one of our Client Service Specialist team leads at Clocktower Animal Hospital. She has a huge love of anything Disney and works hard to provide the same personalized service to our clients and patients on a daily basis. In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband , friends, and furry kids.


Elizabeth - Team Lead

Elizabeth is one of our Client Service Specialist team leads at Clocktower Animal Hospital. She prides herself in providing compassion and personalized client service to our clients and their furry family members. In her free, Elizabeth enjoys watching hockey and spending time with her family, friends, and furry kids.



Wendy has been a long term member of our Client Service Specialist team. She knows many of the clients and their furry family members very well. She prides herself on providing a comfortable, family feel for our clients and seems to always have a smile on her face. In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time with her dogs, husband and daughter.



Michelle was born in NY and raised in a military family in California and eventually moved from Berlin, Germany to Virginia in 1995. In her free time, Michelle enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and singing. Her most favorite past time is hanging with her kids, family , and her pets.



Monica is one of our Client Service Specialist and enjoys meeting each client and their furry family members with a warm, friendly smile.



Brandi is one of our Client Service Specialist team members. She has been in the animal field for over 9 years. She is a mother of 3 children which keeps her very busy. Brandi has always wanted to work with animals from the time she was a small child and loves what she does. She also enjoys spending her free time with family and volunteering in school programs.



Mackenzie graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Communication/Media Production. She has always had a love for animals and a calling to help them which makes her a great addition to our team. Mackenzie is a huge fan of all Boston sports teams and Harry Potter. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, hiking, and spending time with her boyfriend and dog, Sammy.
