Dr. Janice Chu has been practicing in the Northern Virginia area since January 1999. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. When Dr. Chu first started working in this area, she not only worked in a general practice, but also worked part-time as a dental resident under her mentor Dr. Charles Williams at the Animal Dental Clinic in Vienna, VA from January 1999-December 2006. During this time, she gained an extensive amount of training and knowledge in the area of veterinary dentistry. She continues to pursue this area of interest at Clocktower Animal Hospital. She is a long-time member of the American Animal Hospital Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. She has previously been a member of Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a past president of the Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Association in 2016. Outside of work, Dr. Chu enjoys spending time with her husband Mike, two labradors Ling Ling and Roo Roo, and her three cats Blossom, Baby Bear, and Willow. Her interests include swimming, scrapbooking, and cross stitching. She is a member of Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center Masters Swim Club, and will sometimes fill in as a substitute coach for the team. She also attends church regularly, and has taught Sunday School for many years.
